Perhaps you've heard of the brand Cheeky or have even run into there colorful designs at your local Target. Cheeky is a company with a purpose that creates products for the home in forms of modern tablewear. They sale anything form everyday paper goods, on the go insulated bottles and even a line created just for kids. Cheeky Home has a department that specializes in creating innovative and safe baby products and in this blog post I'll be sharing with you why this brand is worth not only checking out but taking a few pieces home to help moms make meal time with toddlers a little more functional. My kids can be picky eaters, not to mention kiddos who are still learning how to eat using utensils and working toward someday keeping a clean eating space. But who am I kidding I have two toddlers a 3 year old and a 1 1/2 year old and they are messy! Several weeks ago during my routine visit to Target (Because come on I'm a mom and Target is my happy place) I was casually browsing my baby department and came across the wall of Cheeky Baby products. I must say I was immediately drawn into the bright soft colors and modern inviting character designs. The first thing that caught my eye was there bibs. I mean come on how cute is this bib! The color is so rich but has a modern twist with the softness in shade and gentle silicone material. You guys I have been dying to find a bib that is perfect to take on the go with me that will fit in a small space of my diaper bag! I have bought bibs that are made with a silicone type material but are so hard that when I fold them they become bulky and start breaking at the corners of the folds. I have also purchased bibs that are made from cloth type material but have to be washed after use and If your a mom like me you know the hassle it is to continually have to wash bibs the kids use on a daily basis. I am so happy I found Cheeky baby because I can not begin to tell you how perfect these bibs are! The main crème de la crème is the fact that this silicone is so soft not only making this comfortable and lightweight for my girls to wear but you can fold these so tiny they fit in any pocket of your diaper bag! They are BPA free, latex free and phthalate free. They have an easy adjustable neck strap that helps mom in creating the perfect fit for your child and bottom pocket to catch their food. I love that Cheeky has paid so much attention to detail in creating a product that is functional and safe for my precious babies. Personally I love brands who represent moms in designing products that they would use themselves. They also have sippy cups, bowls, plates and utensils all of which are dishwasher safe and catered for the use of tiny hands. Their products feature cute whimsical characters with positive, empowering messages like this one, "Be Brave Little one". My girls are picky eaters and truly these sectioned plates have helped get more food into their bellies. My girls love these plates! They have been eating more of their meals as they partake in plating different foods in each section. They actually tell me they're cooking their food and are chefs as they pick up different items to fill each square. Something that stands out to me as a mom is that these plates are also lifted and not flat almost creating the purpose of bowls so you are able to also pour in soups and cereals using the same plate. Now, I am not being paid to say any of these things this is simply my opinion through my experience in using these products. Cheeky was kind enough to send us over a couple of items to further check out the brand and play with the products they have designed. The main reason I am writing about them is to inform you about this affordable brand that has been working for us and to also share with you that they are on a mission to feed hungry kids in the United States. I can not tell you what a blessing it is to promote a company that finds importance to donate so much of their earnings through their business to a charity that hits close to home. For every Cheeky item purchased, Cheeky gives one meal to someone in need right here in the U.S.. They've partnered with "Feeding America" and "No Kid Hungry" and have already donated more then 14 million meals! Now thats a cause and brand I can get behind! You can find there products by clicking here and you can also find them at select Target stores. We love our Cheeky Baby products and would like to thank the team at Cheeky for sending my girls a couple of products to try out. Thank you for donating so much to such a great need. I will also be filming a video on these products Subscribe to my youtube channel to be alerted of when that video becomes available. Until next time keep crushing it mamas and well talk soon<3.

Have you ever fell guilty of being quick to judge? Ever seen a child on social media doing something that maybe you wouldn't do with your child or let alone that magical day you would become a parent? I speak for myself that I have fallen guilty to both. True its unfortunate and its not until we experience the judgment ourselves that we begin to realize, maybe its time to work on stopping that record of keeping wrongs in reacting too quickly especially when its on social media. We have grown into a generation of online living and I feel that for some reason so many people feel more at liberty to "share their opinion" when its not really asked for or in person. Given, everyone should know that by putting yourself or family on social platforms, makes you vulnerable to the hatred and opinion of others, thats just the world we live in. However, may I be so bold to say, what if more people stopped to think and not respond with disapproval being aware that we don't know the whole story and or being guilty of the same instance. Theres a scripture in the bible that describes this perfectly, "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Mattew 7:2 Now quick disclaimer before we continue In no way shape or form is this being written with an intention to hurt anyones feelings or bash someone who may be reading this article. These are solely my thoughts being put together, through my experinces in hopes that we may build a better communty online and it starts with me. I see moms being judged for everything now a days breastfeeding, not breastfeeding, naps, bottles, pacifiers, parenting styles, all the above. The truth of the matter is we all dreamed of being the perfect parent with perfect children. A tidy house, 3 organic home cooked meals a day, polite, bathed and well dressed children all while having time to do our own hair and makeup and go to the gym (insert rolling eyes emoji here) LOL. Oh I was the perfect parent before I had children. Soon after I gave birth to those polite angels all my preconceived notions flew out the window. #realitycheck. As an example Ive been sharing with you these pictures of my daughter. We were doing a little video and photoshoot of some of clothing items based around a unicorn theme. We had such a great time being hosted by Caked LA and allowing us to shoot at there location. As soon as we posted a picture there were those who gave there opinion on how giving Zoey ALL this sugar was a terrible move on my behalf. That person's assumption was that Zoey drank the entire milkshake all by herself. Little did anyone know it was a strawberry banana smoothie and it was shared... between 5 people. However know one would know that unless asked or having been there themselves. This is the tiniest example of how we could be so quick to judge, make another person feel bad and being based on no marret as it was all based on "assumption".
May I encourage you to be gracious to moms? Theres this quote by a man I respect so much named Victor Marxx and it reads, "Remember that everyone you meet is afraid of something, has lost something and is fighting a battle you know nothing about. ""Be Kind and compassionate to one another"" Ephisians 4:32". Moms do so much and wear more hats then we may know. Its so much more healthier for our own well being to be gracious to other moms and even offer our help or concerns through messaging and our support. Speaking first to myself and then to others, Liz <3 Starting a blog has always been at the end of my to do list. Its something that I have put off until everything else is done. A few days ago however, I said Ok why not. As I started prepping my site I got so excited I literally pulled an all nighter! What am I a college student! I haven't felt this giddy since I don't know when. It felt like I literally had the power to write about anything I want to without having any restrictions!
There are always so many things I want to form an opinion of, document, record, discuss and this feels like the right place to do it all. Maybe its because I don't have a specific goal in mind Im just allowing myself to be free in my lifestyle and write for my own mental processing. I love reading other blogs and being eyes into bloggers lives and thoughts and so I hope others will feel what a laid back atmosphere this is and read my blog while sipping a cup of coffee, tea or a glass of wine, laugh cry and dream. I have a passion for writing Ive never given way to mostly because I have some major insecurities. Born and raised in East LA Im not exactly the professional elecquent type, though many are. I was transferred to several different schools as a kid and it didn't help that my mind was preoccupied with "other" things. This blog is a place of positivity and transparency in sharing with you basically anything and everything. Of course Ive found myself on this new Journey called motherhood so most of it will be about that ;) On this blog you will find product reviews, which are always my favorite to do, beauty and fashion tips and inspiration, work related posts and the occasional "lets chat" I need another person to talk to that isn't my threenager, I hope you all enjoy this laid back adventure with me of writing and sharing, . Feel free to explore and introduce yourself in the comments Id love to get to know you. Sincerely, Elizabeth |
